The Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 30 released safety D’Anthony Bell and wide receiver Julian Hicks from the practice squad, signed linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo to the practice squad and lifted the practice-squad exemption for wide receiver Malick Meiga, the team announced. The moves were listed on the Seahawks’ official transactions page. The changes were part of routine roster management as the club adjusted depth on the practice squad.

On Sept. 29, the Seahawks released defensive tackle Uso Seumalo from the practice squad and signed defensive tackle Gary Smith to the practice squad. Those transactions altered the interior defensive line depth among practice-squad personnel. The moves followed several other practice-squad changes earlier in the week.

The Seahawks elevated safety Maxen Hook and running back Velus Jones Jr. from the practice squad on Sept. 26; both players reverted to the practice squad on Sept. 28. The elevations provided temporary active-roster depth at safety and running back for game-day needs. Those transactions reflect the team’s continued use of the practice squad to address short-term roster needs.

On Sept. 23, Seattle placed guard Anthony Bradford on injured reserve and signed safety Rodney Thomas II to the active roster, according to the transactions log. Thomas had been elevated from the practice squad on Sept. 19 and reverted to the practice squad on Sept. 21 before the club added him to the active roster. Bradford’s move opened a roster spot that the Seahawks filled by promoting Thomas. The transactions list also details extensive offseason and training-camp activity that has shaped the club’s depth chart.

These roster moves represent routine management as the Seahawks navigate early-season injuries and depth needs. Elevations of Maxen Hook and Velus Jones Jr. and their subsequent reversions demonstrate how the club uses the practice squad for short-term game-day support. Adding Jimmy Ciarlo and Gary Smith to the practice squad, while promoting Rodney Thomas II to the active roster after Bradford’s injured-reserve placement, underscores the club’s effort to maintain flexibility across multiple position groups.
