The Washington Football Team announced a string of roster moves on its transactions page, signing center/guard Lucas Patrick to the active roster on Sept. 16 and placing linebacker Jordan Magee on injured reserve. On Sept. 19 the team added defensive tackle Ricky Barber to the practice squad and elevated Barber and linebacker Ale Kaho from the practice squad. The moves were part of a series of short-term adjustments to the roster over the past week.

Team transactions show that Barber had been released on Sept. 17, the same day cornerback Isaac Yiadom was signed from the practice squad. The club also added outside linebacker Marvin Jones Jr. and linebacker Austin Keys to the practice squad on Sept. 16 and signed wide receiver Van Jefferson to the practice squad on Sept. 7 while releasing tight end Joshua Simon on that date. Those entries reflect the team managing immediate depth while juggling practice-squad personnel.

Washington’s transaction log from August reflects broader roster churn as the club stocked depth across multiple positions. On Aug. 31 the Football Team placed defensive tackle Jer’Zhan Newton and tackle Laremy Tunsil on injured reserve and signed cornerback Fabian Moreau and defensive tackle Shy Tuttle, along with a flurry of practice-squad additions. Earlier in August the team signed veterans such as linebacker Krys Barnes, defensive tackle Maurice Hurst II and tight end Tre McKitty while corresponding roster moves included releases and other injury placements.

Adding Lucas Patrick to the active roster gives the Washington Football Team veteran interior offensive-line depth. Moving Jordan Magee to injured reserve removes a linebacker from immediate availability and increases reliance on the remaining corps or new additions. The repeated signings, releases and practice-squad elevations — including the release and re-signing of Ricky Barber and the elevation of Ale Kaho — indicate the team is actively adjusting its roster to address short-term needs and evaluate players during the season.
