Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons: TV, streaming and radio information for Sunday
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons will host the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m. EDT Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the team announced. It will be Atlanta’s first 1 p.m. EDT game in nearly a month and is slated to be the most widely distributed matchup on FOX. The game is scheduled for Week 6 of the NFL season.
The game will air on FOX with Kevin Burkhardt on play-by-play, Tom Brady as the color analyst and Tom Rinaldi on the sideline. Fans inside the Atlanta market can stream the telecast on FOX One and find the game on NFL+ on mobile devices. International viewers can stream the matchup on DAZN, and the Falcons will present their Atlanta Falcons Pregame Show ahead of kickoff.
Local radio coverage will be available on 92.9 The Game and La Mejor, with Wes Durham on play-by-play and Dave Archer as the color analyst. The game will also be carried nationally by Westwood One and on SiriusXM. The Falcons have published a stadium game center for fans attending in person.
Atlanta has produced one of the NFL’s more potent offenses since Michael Penix Jr. became the starter in Week 3. Penix, who left the Baltimore game with rib soreness, logged a full practice Wednesday, and Atlanta’s coach said he expects the third-year quarterback to start Sunday if all goes according to plan. Penix’s presence provides balance for the Falcons’ rushing attack.
The Bears are coming off a loss to the Green Bay Packers and could receive a lift if star quarterback Caleb Williams returns. Williams strained a hamstring in Chicago’s Week 2 loss to Minnesota and has not played since. With a healthy Williams in Week 1, Chicago scored 59 points against the Carolina Panthers.
AccuWeather forecasts sunny skies for Sunday in Atlanta with a temperature near 65 degrees, a 0 percent chance of precipitation, humidity at 32 percent and winds from the ENE at about 12 mph. Those conditions should not force significant adjustments to game plans for either side. The forecast should make for a comfortable afternoon for fans at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
NFL Sports Blog Take
With Michael Penix Jr. practicing fully and expected to start if he clears remaining checks, the Falcons can rely on the offensive continuity that has lifted them since Week 3. A possible return by Caleb Williams would materially change the Bears’ outlook after a difficult stretch without him; Chicago’s Week 1 scoring outburst with Williams healthy underlines that impact. The game’s wide distribution on FOX and the pleasant weather at Mercedes-Benz Stadium increase the spotlight on what could be a matchup defined by quarterback play and offensive tempo.
