Broncos promote Lil’Jordan Humphrey, place Pat Bryant on injured reserve
On Oct. 9, 2026, the Denver Broncos promoted wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey to the active roster, signed defensive back Ugo Amadi to the practice squad and placed wide receiver Pat Bryant on injured reserve. The moves are recorded on the teams transactions log. The transactions log did not list injury details for Bryant.
Humphrey has appeared multiple times on the clubs transaction reports this season, including a practice-squad signing on Oct. 3 following a release on Oct. 2. The log also shows he was signed Sept. 15 and released Sept. 14 during roster adjustments. He re-signed with the team on March 12, 2026, according to the spring entries. His elevation restores him to the 53-player roster after recent practice-squad activity.
The club added veteran defensive back Ugo Amadi to the practice squad on Oct. 9. Amadi joins a practice-squad unit the Broncos have adjusted frequently through the early part of the season. Recent October moves listed include the signing of wide receiver Cam Ross to the practice squad on Oct. 6 and the release of outside linebacker Jahfari Harvey the same day; the team promoted fullback Adam Prentice to the active roster on Oct. 3.
The transactions log reflects continued roster churn since training camp, with numerous signings and waivers in late August and through September. On Aug. 31 the team signed a series of players to the practice squad and on Aug. 30 waived a large group as it reduced the roster to 53 players. September activity included additional practice-squad signings and elevations to the active roster.
NFL Sports Blog Take
Promoting Lil’Jordan Humphrey returns an experienced practice-squad receiver to the active roster and gives the Broncos an option at the position who is familiar with the team’s environment. Placing Pat Bryant on injured reserve reduces depth at wide receiver and may require further roster adjustments or elevations. Adding Ugo Amadi to the practice squad provides additional coverage in the secondary as the club manages short-term depth. Combined with recent promotions such as Adam Prentice, these moves show the Broncos continuing to reshape their roster week to week.
