Patriots Name Boston English/New Mission Coach Ryan Conway High School Coach of the Week
The New England Patriots on Nov. 3, 2026, named Boston English/New Mission head coach Ryan Conway the New England Patriots High School Coach of the Week. Conway guided the Boston English/New Mission Bulldogs to a 12-6 victory over O’Bryant High School that clinched the Boston City League championship. The award recognizes Conway’s role in rebuilding the program and leading the team through a midseason reversal that produced four consecutive wins.
Boston English/New Mission improved to 5-2 after the city title, rallying from a 1-2 start to win four straight. Senior Manuel Miranda paced the offense with eight carries for 101 yards and a touchdown in the championship game. Senior Daniel Costello led the defense with 15 tackles and a fumble recovery as the Bulldogs claimed their first Boston City League title since 2021.
Hall of Famer Andre Tippett, the New England Patriots’ executive director of community affairs, visited the school and presented a $1,000 donation to the program on behalf of the Kraft family and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation. Tippett said, “Coach Ryan Conway embodies the exact spirit of resilience, leadership, and community dedication that the New England Patriots seek to honor.” The visit and donation presentation will be featured on the Patriots’ weekly television program, “Patriots All Access,” airing Friday at 7 p.m. on WBZ-TV in Boston and available on Patriots.com.
The Patriots said this is the 31st year the organization has run the High School Coach of the Week program and the 16th season Tippett has traveled to present the award. At the conclusion of the fall, one of the weekly winners will be named the New England Patriots High School Coach of the Year and receive an additional $2,000 contribution toward the school’s football program. The Patriots Foundation is accepting nominations for Coach of the Week honors at nominatecoach@patriots.com, with submissions required following a team’s Friday night or Saturday afternoon game. The Patriots Foundation serves as the nonprofit arm of the New England Patriots, supporting charitable and philanthropic organizations across New England through grants, in-kind donations, and community engagement.
