Pittsburgh Steelers’ Christian Kuntz wins Week 9 NFLPA Community MVP
According to Steelers.com, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Nov. 6, 2026 that long snapper Christian Kuntz was named the Week 9 NFLPA Community MVP. The award is presented weekly during the regular season to a player who has made a positive impact in his hometown or team city. As part of the honor, the NFLPA will donate $10,000 to Kuntz’s Kuntz 4 Ki6s foundation. Kuntz also is eligible for the Alan Page Community Award, which will be selected by the players at the end of the season.
Kuntz donated $10,000 through his Kuntz 4 Ki6s foundation to the Resource Room and Food Pantry at Pittsburgh Morrow PreK-8 in the Brighton Heights neighborhood. He attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony with his wife, Heather. The Resource Room is a dedicated support space for students and families that provides essential items and helps address barriers to school attendance. Kuntz said he was honored to support Pittsburgh Morrow and that investing in the community and creating opportunities for the next generation is very important.
Pittsburgh Public Schools Superintendent Wayne N. Walters said the Resource Room reflects the power of community partnerships to remove barriers and create an environment where students and families feel supported. He thanked Kuntz and the Kuntz 4 Ki6s foundation for their generosity and commitment to the school community. The room was created in partnership with local education advocates such as A+ Schools and will offer items including shoes, coats, clothing and hygiene products. It also will serve as a food pantry so school staff can provide food to families throughout the year.
Kuntz also hosted the Kuntz 4 Ki6s Halloween Bash, where children could pick out costumes, enjoy activities and receive treats ahead of the holiday. The event served groups including the Homeless Children’s Education Fund, Light of Life Homeless Shelter, Foster Love Project, Best of Batch Foundation, Community Empowerment Association, YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh. Kuntz 4 Ki6s is dedicated to promoting youth leadership and engagement, fostering mentoring relationships and supporting underserved communities in the Pittsburgh region. The foundation has continued to focus its efforts on programs that address basic needs and promote mentoring and leadership opportunities for young people.
