Adding Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the practice squad gives the Steelers a veteran receiver with extensive game experience and prior familiarity with the organization from his 2025 stint. His career totals and history of moving between rosters suggest he can provide immediate depth and a known option if injuries or roster moves require elevations. Expect the Steelers to use him on special teams and in practice while evaluating a promotion to the active roster later in the season.
