On Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers reported that safety Antoine Winfield Jr., quarterback Baker Mayfield and running back Sean Tucker did not practice as the team prepared for its Week Six matchup. The Buccaneers posted the practice update Wednesday via staff writer Brianna Dix. The team also held out wide receiver Chris Godwin for rest and listed cornerback Ayden Garnes as not practicing because of an ankle. The report covered several other designations ahead of the game.

The Buccaneers listed linebacker SirVocea Dennis as limited with an ankle and foot issue, and cornerback Ayden Garnes did not practice because of an ankle. Wide receiver Chris Godwin did not practice for rest, while quarterback Baker Mayfield did not practice with a right-thumb issue and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. was held out with a rib problem. Wide receiver David Sills V and tackle Tristan Wirfs were full participants, and cornerback Benjamin Morrison was limited.

Pittsburgh’s designations, as posted in the Buccaneers’ report, listed defensive tackle Keeanu Benton as not practicing with an ankle and defensive tackle Cameron Heyward as resting. The Steelers listed cornerback Jamel Dean, running back Rico Dowdle and safety DeShon Elliott as limited. Wide receivers Ben Skowronek and Roman Wilson did not practice because of calf and finger issues, respectively, and T.J. Watt was limited with a rest designation. The Buccaneers’ posting also included cornerback Jalen Ramsey as a non-participant for Pittsburgh, a listing that appears to be an error in the published report.

Wednesday’s practice report left several key Buccaneers with little or no on-field work, most notably Winfield Jr. with a rib issue and Mayfield with a thumb problem. Chris Godwin’s rest day and Sean Tucker’s absence trimmed offensive practice reps and could affect preparation. Pittsburgh’s multiple limited designations and the veteran presence of Cameron Heyward listed as resting could influence defensive rotations, though the Buccaneers’ listing of Jalen Ramsey for the Steelers appears to be a posting error.
