The Pittsburgh Steelers placed defensive end Sebastian Joseph-Day on the reserve/injured list on Oct. 22, 2026, the team announced on Steelers.com. The transaction was posted by team reporter Teresa Varley. The move appeared under the teams transactions presented by Steelers.

Joseph-Day signed with the Steelers as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He appeared in six games this season, recording 10 tackles, including one tackle for a loss, and a fumble recovery. Those appearances came before the club placed him on the reserve/injured list.

Across nine NFL seasons, Joseph-Day has appeared in 111 games with 90 starts and has 325 career tackles with 172 solo stops. His totals also include 31 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, six passes defensed, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and an interception. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the sixth round, 195th overall, in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Joseph-Day spent four seasons with the Rams (2018-21). He later spent time with the Los Angeles Chargers and the San Francisco 49ers during the 2023 season and played the 2024 and 2025 seasons with the Tennessee Titans. Last season, he played in all 17 games, starting 10, and finished with 41 tackles, 22 solo stops, six tackles for a loss, two sacks and a fumble recovery.

Placing Sebastian Joseph-Day on the reserve/injured list removes an experienced interior lineman from the Steelers’ roster. He has appeared in six games this season and 111 career games with 90 starts across nine NFL seasons. That experience will matter as Pittsburgh adjusts its defensive-line rotation while he is sidelined.
