The Baltimore Ravens announced on Oct. 27, 2026, that former defensive tackle Michael Pierce will co-host a new two-hour daily radio show. “Ravens Daily” will launch on Nov. 9 and air Monday through Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. on WBAL NewsRadio and multiple Ravens digital platforms. Pierce will share hosting duties with Kyle Youmans on the year-round program.

Pierce spent seven seasons as a Ravens defensive tackle after entering the NFL as an undrafted rookie in 2016, spending four seasons in Baltimore, two with the Minnesota Vikings and then returning to the Ravens for three more seasons. The team described Pierce as a fan favorite during his time in Baltimore. His playing experience with the organization figures prominently in the team’s plans for the show.

After retiring, Pierce moved back to southern Alabama and coached defensive linemen at Gulf Shores High School near his hometown of Daphne, Ala. He continued to make Ravens-focused media appearances and said he had not initially seen media as a long-term career until the team posted the “Ravens Daily” opening. The Ravens noted that Director of Player Engagement Jameel McClain helped create avenues for former players to return to the organization in front-office and media roles.

The team said Pierce will use his playing background to provide game breakdowns, player spotlights and exclusive interviews with Ravens Legends, current players, NFL media and team officials. Youmans said players gravitated to Pierce when he returned to the Under Armour Performance Center as a newly hired employee. “The more fans listen to Michael Pierce, the more they’ll enjoy his personality and connection to the organization,” Youmans said.

Pierce remains known for several memorable moments during his Ravens tenure, including a notable interception in the 2024 regular-season finale against the Cleveland Browns that drew widespread attention. He told the team he wants to be more than a highlight reel and to provide high-level, passionate conversation for listeners. The Ravens say the program will mix personalities and viewpoints to engage the fan base.

NFL Sports Blog Take

The addition of Michael Pierce gives the Ravens a host with immediate credibility and direct ties to the locker room, which should help generate access and informed analysis for listeners. Launching Nov. 9 places the program squarely in the regular season, offering daily reaction and breakdowns during a critical stretch of the schedule. Pierce’s experience as a seven-season Raven and his rapport with current players, noted by the team, should make it easier to secure interviews and insider perspective. Airing on WBAL and the team’s digital platforms provides a broad local and online audience for the show. Expect the format to emphasize film study and player-centric storytelling, areas Pierce has been known to focus on since his playing days.
