GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers signed offensive lineman Mekhi Becton Sr. from the practice squad to the active roster and placed C/G Jacob Monk on injured reserve on Oct. 26, the team announced. The move was the latest in a series of roster transactions the Packers have made during October. The club has shifted several players between the active roster, injured reserve and practice squad as it manages availability.

Earlier in the week, the Packers activated running back Josh Jacobs from exempt status and took defensive tackle Jordon Riley off the reserve/physically unable to perform list on Oct. 24. The team also signed wide receiver Coleman Owen from the practice squad to the active roster that day and elevated edge Arron Mosby from the practice squad for gameday duties for Week 7. Those moves came as part of the clubs week-to-week roster management leading into their matchup with the Detroit Lions.

On Oct. 17, the Packers activated wide receiver Savion Williams off injured reserve and designated him for return while placing defensive tackles Jonathan Ford and Javon Hargrave and wide receiver Skyy Moore on injured reserve. The club elevated Arron Mosby and Coleman Owen from the practice squad for gameday on Oct. 17 as well. Other recent October transactions included signing defensive tackle Mazi Smith to the practice squad on Oct. 20 and releasing running back Damon Bankston that same day.

The Packers have also been active throughout the offseason and training-camp period with additions and roster construction moves. Notable March transactions included signing defensive lineman Javon Hargrave and wide receiver Skyy Moore on March 13 and acquiring linebacker Zaire Franklin in a trade with the Indianapolis Professional Football Team on March 11 in exchange for defensive lineman Colby Wooden. Green Bay expanded its practice-squad depth at the end of August with multiple signings on Aug. 31 as it finalized its roster groupings for the season.

The Packers continue to juggle offensive-line depth and defensive-line availability through frequent roster moves. Promoting Mekhi Becton Sr. to the active roster provides veteran tackle depth after the club placed C/G Jacob Monk on injured reserve. Activations of Josh Jacobs and Jordon Riley and the elevation of practice-squad players underscore how Green Bay is mixing veteran signings with internal options to manage short-term needs. With several defensive linemen on injured reserve, the team has leaned on practice-squad elevations and recent signings to maintain rotational flexibility up front.
