Eagles sign DB Kenny Moore II to the active roster

The Philadelphia Eagles signed defensive back Kenny Moore II to the active roster, the team announced Tuesday. Moore had joined the Eagles’ practice squad last week after spending the offseason and preseason training while not attached to a team. He practiced with the club last Thursday before the move to the active roster.
Moore spent nine seasons with the Indianapolis Professional Football Team from 2017 to 2025 before he signed with the Eagles last week. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Valdosta State in 2017 when he originally signed with the New England Patriots. After New England waived him, the Indianapolis Professional Football Team claimed him and he developed into a regular starter on that defense.
The 31-year-old is a 2021 Pro Bowl selection with extensive career production, according to team information. Over 132 regular-season games, including 111 starts, Moore has 649 tackles, 21 interceptions, 11.5 sacks and five defensive touchdowns. The 2026 season is Moore’s 10th in the NFL.
After his first practice with the Eagles last Thursday, Moore reflected on the past few months and his return to an active roster. He said, “It has been a roller coaster. Good days, bad days. But for the most part, it is really just finding peace and finding myself through it all. It has been a lot.” He added, “I got a lot more years left in me to go get it. So glad to be in green. I am going to give you all I got.”
The move gives Philadelphia added veteran depth in the defensive backfield as the team continues early-season preparations. Moore’s experience and starting background should provide the Eagles with a seasoned option on defense and on special teams as needed. The Eagles will hope his experience translates to immediate, reliable snaps when called upon.
