NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints announced Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, that they re-signed cornerback Decamerion Richardson and completed a series of roster moves, executive vice president and general manager Mickey Loomis said. The club terminated the contract of long snapper Cal Adomitis, waived cornerback Jayden Price and wide receiver Brock Rechsteiner, who was on the reserve/suspended list by the commissioner, and terminated the practice-squad contracts of running back Ulysses Bentley and wide receiver Trey Palmer. The moves were listed in the teamtransaction notice.

Richardson (pronounced De-cam-ree-ON) was originally selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL draft (112th overall) out of Mississippi State, the Saints said. He is listed at 6-foot-2 and 188 pounds on the roster header and has appeared in two games for New Orleans after being awarded off waivers at the end of the preseason. In two seasons with Las Vegas he appeared in 27 games with seven starts and compiled 46 tackles (28 solo), one pass breakup and 11 special teams tackles.

In 2025 Richardson played in 15 games and finished with 10 special teams tackles, which ranked second on the Raiders. A native of Cullen, Louisiana, Richardson was a two-way standout at Bossier High School and spent four years at Mississippi State (2020-23). He appeared in 45 games with 26 starts and totaled 177 tackles (106 solo), two tackles for loss, one sack, 10 pass breakups and one fumble recovery.

Re-signing Decamerion Richardson gives the Saints a player with starting experience in college and proven special teams production at the NFL level. His 11 career special teams tackles and 10 special teams tackles in 2025 make him a logical candidate to contribute on coverage units while providing depth at cornerback. The other roster moves, including the Adomitis contract termination and the practice-squad departures, signal continued roster churn as New Orleans adjusts personnel midseason.
