ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos signed outside linebacker Jahfari Harvey to the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday. Harvey played five collegiate seasons at the University of Miami before finishing his career at Southern Methodist (SMU). The signing fills an open practice-squad spot after the Broncos promoted long snapper Mitchell Fraboni to the active roster on Saturday.

The Las Vegas Raiders signed Harvey as an undrafted free agent in 2025 and placed him on their practice squad that season. Las Vegas promoted him to the active roster in December 2025. He appeared in the Raiders’ final two games and played 27 percent of the team’s defensive snaps in those contests. Harvey spent the early portion of the 2026 season on Las Vegas’ practice squad.

Harvey brings limited regular-season experience to Denver but provides the Broncos a player they can evaluate closely in practice. The team completed the transaction Tuesday by adding him to the practice squad roster. The Indianapolis Professional Football Team naming rule was considered; no Indianapolis team is referenced in this story.

The Broncos added a young, developmental edge player who has a small sample of NFL game experience. Harvey’s two-game appearance and 27 percent share of defensive snaps in those contests give Denver some tape to review while he practices with the team. By using an already open practice-squad spot created by Mitchell Fraboni’s promotion, the Broncos preserved roster flexibility while adding depth at outside linebacker.
