Browns activate RB Dylan Sampson; place Teven Jenkins on injured reserve
The Cleveland Browns activated running back Dylan Sampson from injured reserve and placed guard Teven Jenkins on injured reserve, the team announced Oct. 24, 2026. The club also elevated defensive tackle Sam Kamara from the practice squad and reported that safety Grant Delpit has cleared the league’s concussion protocol. The team said Sampson and Delpit will have no injury designation for the Browns’ game the following day.
Sampson, a fourth-round pick in 2025, has appeared in 16 career games. He has recorded 175 career rushing yards on 65 attempts and added 33 receptions for 271 yards with two touchdowns. Sampson sustained a knee injury during the season opener at Jacksonville and was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 15. He was designated for return on Oct. 14.
Jenkins was placed on injured reserve with a back injury, the team said. The Browns did not provide a timetable for his return. The move creates an opening on the active roster and affects the Browns’ offensive-line depth.
Kamara, listed at 6-foot, 272-pound, is in his fourth NFL season after playing at Stony Brook. He originally signed with Chicago as an undrafted free agent in 2021. He has appeared in 28 career games, including 19 with Cleveland since 2022 and two this season. The team said he will wear No. 92.
Delpit has cleared the league’s concussion protocol and will have no injury status for the Browns’ next game, the team announced. Delpit is listed as a safety on the Browns’ roster. The team did not provide additional medical details in the release.

Sampson’s activation returns a player with documented receiving production out of the backfield; his 33 receptions for 271 yards and two touchdowns underline his pass-catching value. Placing Jenkins on injured reserve alters the Browns’ offensive-line depth and creates an open roster spot that the club must address. Elevating Kamara adds interior defensive-tackle depth, and his 19 games with Cleveland since 2022 give him familiarity with the roster. Delpit’s clearance restores a listed safety to availability for the upcoming game.
