The Cleveland Browns signed running back Audric Estime to the active roster and placed running back Raheim Sanders on injured reserve, the team announced Oct. 13. The Browns made the move as part of a flurry of transactions that also included practice-squad additions and several elevations from the practice squad. Those moves continued the team’s roster management across multiple position groups in October.

On the same day the Browns added tight end Devin Culp and guard Vershon Lee to the practice squad and released cornerback Myles Bryant and wide receiver James Proche II from the practice squad. ESPN’s transaction log shows the club elevated defensive tackles Sam Kamara and Chris Williams from the practice squad on Oct. 10 and signed running back Jaret Patterson to the practice squad on Oct. 7. The series of additions and elevations reflects the Browns’ attention to depth along the defensive line and in the backfield.

The team designated quarterback Dillon Gabriel and defensive tackle Kalia Davis to return from injured reserve on Oct. 6. That same day the Browns signed wide receiver James Proche II and defensive tackle Chris Williams to the practice squad while releasing running back Eric Gray and punter Wes Pahl from the practice squad. The designations and practice-squad moves provided the club with flexibility as injured players moved closer to returning.

Placing Sanders on injured reserve opened a roster spot that Estime filled, and the Browns added Patterson and other practice-squad pieces to maintain backfield options. Elevating Kamara and Williams earlier in the month bolstered interior defensive depth ahead of upcoming games. The designations for Gabriel and Kalia Davis further preserved roster options at quarterback and on the defensive line as the team evaluates players returning from injury.
