The Buffalo Bills posted practice notes Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, after the first day of work following the bye at the Kaleida Health Performance Center. Cornerback Tre’Davious White returned to the practice field, wide receiver Tyrell Shavers participated as a limited player and tackle Spencer Brown did not take part. White rejoined the organization after Buffalo signed him to the practice squad the day after the Week 6 victory in Las Vegas. Shavers opened a 21-day practice window as he continues his recovery from a torn ACL.

White, the Bills 2017 first-round pick, spent eight of his nine NFL seasons in Buffalo and practiced for the first time since rejoining the team. He told reporters he plans to serve as an extension of the coaching staff and help younger cornerbacks acclimate to the system. White appeared in 18 games for Buffalo in 2025 and recorded one interception and 13 passes defended that season. He said he expects to adapt to the match-and-man emphasis under defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard.

Shavers, a 27-year-old receiver, was a limited participant on Wednesday in his first on-field work since suffering a torn ACL in the Bills Wild Card loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars last January. The team noted it had been 290 days since he had last practiced, and Shavers described the rehabilitation process as a long, step-by-step climb aided by the Bills medical and training staff. He appeared in all 17 regular-season games in 2025, catching 15 passes for 245 yards, and the 21-day window will let the team evaluate his readiness for game activity.

Brown did not participate in Wednesdays practice as Buffalo continued to monitor a lingering back issue that forced him out of the Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Rams. He returned to play every snap in the Week 6 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, and he said he remains confident in his mental preparation for Sundays game against the Baltimore Ravens. Coach Joe Brady said he is not concerned about Browns playbook readiness. The Bills listed Brown as the lone nonparticipant on the Wednesday report; Bradley Chubb (chest/thumb), Dalton Kincaid (chest) and DJ Moore (shoulder) were limited in non-contact jerseys, while Dee Alford (ankle), Ed Oliver (knee), T.J. Parker (knee) and T.J. Sanders (shoulder) were limited without non-contact designations.

Tre’Davious Whites return gives the Bills a veteran presence in the cornerback room that can help younger players adjust to Jim Leonhards scheme and the routine of the season. Tyrell Shavers entering his 21-day window provides Buffalo a controlled period to assess his knee after a full season of rehabilitation and his role in the 2025 offense. Spencer Browns absence from the first post-bye practice underlines the teams caution with his back while also reflecting his ability to play through the issue when cleared. The Bills will use practice designations and the evaluation window to shape roster and availability decisions as they prepare for the upcoming stretch of games.
