The Arizona Cardinals reported nine players did not participate in Wednesday’s practice ahead of their Week 8 game against the Dallas Cowboys, the team announced on Oct. 28, 2026. The clubs official injury report, posted by Zach Gershman on azcardinals.com, identified several veteran rest days alongside multiple injury absences. Coach Mike LaFleur granted rest to some veterans, and the team noted defensive lineman Walter Nolen III would not practice because of an ankle issue.

Among those who did not practice were right tackle Elijah Wilkinson (knee), right guard Jon Gaines II (ankle), outside linebacker Zaven Collins (illness), linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. (NIR-Rest/knee) and running back Tyler Allgeier (toe). The report also listed Josh Sweat, Budda Baker and Isaac Seumalo as nonparticipants for rest, and Walter Nolen III as not practicing with an ankle concern. The club identified Wilkinson’s absence as a potential complication given the offensive line already was missing multiple starters.

Wide receiver Michael Wilson was wearing a yellow non-contact jersey and was listed as limited with a ribs issue. Several players who were inactive on Sunday returned to limited practice Wednesday, including running back Jeremiyah Love (ankle), safety Andrew Wingard (knee), cornerback Max Melton (knee) and quarterback Carson Beck (back). Cornerback Kei’Trel Clark was also limited with an illness.

The Cowboys did not hold a full practice Wednesday, and the report noted Dallass designations were estimations. Dallas listed wide receiver George Pickens as limited with a shoulder and hamstring issue and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams as limited with a hamstring issue. The Cowboys also had players listed as full, including Marist Liufau (forearm) and safety P.J. Locke (foot), according to the report.

NFL Sports Blog Take

The Cardinals enter Week 8 with questions along the right side of their offensive line after Elijah Wilkinson and Jon Gaines II were sidelined Wednesday, which could affect protection and run blocking against Dallas. Michael Wilsons non-contact jersey and limited status with rib soreness make him a game-time factor for Arizonas receiving depth. The return of several players to limited practice, including Carson Beck, offers a measure of optimism but leaves durability and availability uncertain heading into the matchup. With Dallass designations labeled as estimations because the Cowboys did not practice, both teams will likely wait until final game-day reports to assess true availability.
