The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 on Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field, improving to 3-4. Philadelphia dropped to 2-5 with its fifth consecutive loss. Dallas used an effective passing game and substantial rushing production to win the NFC East matchup.

Dak Prescott threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns, including two scoring connections with CeeDee Lamb. He avoided an interception after struggling with turnovers in the preceding two games. The performance gave Dallas a much-needed answer at quarterback.

Javonte Williams supplied a career-high 155 rushing yards as the Cowboys controlled more than one offensive dimension. Philadelphia remained within striking distance through three quarters but scored no fourth-quarter points. Dallas finished the game with a 17-point advantage and a useful division victory.

Brian’s Take

Dallas needed a balanced performance that did not ask Prescott to solve every problem by himself. Williams’ rushing output made that possible and should remain central to the Cowboys’ approach. Philadelphia’s five-game slide demands more than cosmetic fixes because the team is losing ground while divisional opponents collect important wins.
