The Atlanta Falcons made a series of roster transactions in late September, signing linebacker Brian Asamoah to the practice squad on Sept. 30 and placing cornerback A.J. Terrell Jr. on injured reserve on Sept. 22, according to the team transaction log on ESPN. The moves reflected the Falcons’ effort to manage injuries and add short-term depth as the regular season begins. The team announced the transactions in its official log.

The Falcons added Zach Harrison to the 53-man roster on Sept. 22 and signed Colby Sorsdal to the practice squad later that week. The club also acquired defensive back Robert Longerbeam from Philadelphia’s practice squad on Sept. 23. Those moves reshuffled depth across multiple units and aimed to address immediate needs.

Earlier in the month the team promoted tight end Nick Muse from the practice squad to the active roster on Sept. 16 and placed defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand on injured reserve the same day. The Falcons signed defensive end Drake Jackson and running back Khalil Herbert to the practice squad on Sept. 16 to bolster the front seven and backfield options. The club has used practice-squad promotions to fill short-term roster vacancies.

The club elevated Zach Harrison from the practice squad to the active roster on Sept. 19 and had elevated linebacker Bralen Trice and tight end Nick Muse on Sept. 12. The Falcons placed offensive tackle Cam Williams on injured reserve on Sept. 12, creating a need for depth along the offensive line. The team also added defensive tackle Zacch Pickens to the practice squad on Sept. 9 as it adjusted the roster ahead of the month.

Other recent moves included releasing defensive back Darren Hall from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Sept. 8 and signing Bralen Trice to the practice squad on Sept. 5. Those actions follow an active offseason and training-camp period that included a four-year contract extension for guard Matthew Bergeron announced on Aug. 1. The Falcons also made multiple waiver claims and signings in late August to increase roster depth.

Placing A.J. Terrell Jr. on injured reserve removes an experienced starter from the secondary and forces the Falcons to rely on younger players and recent additions. The promotion of Nick Muse and additions to the practice squad reflect a continued emphasis on short-term depth and versatility across position groups. The Matthew Bergeron extension provides veteran stability on the offensive line while the club continues frequent roster adjustments to manage injuries and matchups.
