Falcons release LB Bralen Trice, sign LB TJ Quinn to practice squad
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. The Atlanta Falcons released linebacker Bralen Trice on Tuesday and signed linebacker TJ Quinn to the teams practice squad, the team announced. The Falcons elevated Trice to their 53-man roster last Saturday ahead of their Week 6 game against the Chicago Bears. He has appeared in four games this season for Atlanta and recorded two tackles.
A third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Trice spent most of his first two professional seasons recovering from a knee injury he sustained in his first preseason game against the Miami Dolphins. He has been healthy this season, and the Falcons have regularly elevated him from the practice squad for game-day duty. The moves shift a depth piece who had been active on game days off the 53-man roster.
A native of Valdosta, Georgia, Quinn played collegiately at the University of Louisville. He began his college career as a safety before converting to linebacker and led the Cardinals in tackles in each of his final three seasons, finishing his collegiate career with 289 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, five sacks and three interceptions. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Green Bay and was released during roster cutdowns, the Falcons said.

The Falcons removed a recently active depth piece from the 53-man roster while adding a young, versatile defender to the practice squad. Trice provided limited production in game action this season but offered depth on game day through repeated elevations. Quinn brings sustained collegiate production and positional flexibility after converting from safety, making him a logical candidate for developmental work on the teams practice squad and potential future elevations should Atlanta need linebacker depth during the stretch run.
